Wrap around, soft knee brace that provides offloading of the medial or lateral compartment for mild to moderate osteoarthritis.

Osteoarthritis (OA) patients are typically 55-80 years old. Most braces that treat OA on the market have mechanical looking rigid structures and are better utilized for more active OA patients. Since older patients sometimes have difficulty bending over and understanding proper application; an intuitive wrap around design was the focus.

Because the brace may be worn for multiple hours each day, it must be breathable, easy to don and doff, stay on during activities and look attractive.

Role: Design lead for full development; support through engineering.
